Can you still have sex after having a show ?

I had a sweep done last night and i had a mucus show this morning (lost my plug).

Is it still safe to have sex as i would like to try it to get labour started.

Eww. The real question is do you really want to have sex after the show. Seriously, I believe the doctors ask you to wait. You don't want to risk the introduction of bacteria and such into the vaginal cavity while it is still susceptible.
